Grangetown market returns for Christmas

After a long lay-off due to Covid-19, Grangetown World Market is back in the run-up to Christmas 2021 – with the aim of running weekly Saturday events in 2022 if all goes well.

The initial plan is to have a rolling series of 15 stalls – with a different mix of craft, jewellery, gift, vintage and street-food every week at Grange Pavilion.

The community market has its own gazebos and tables, which stall-holders are able to set up themselves. Money raised will all be re-invested in the infrastucture.

The first dates are:

  • Saturday 27th November
  • Saturday 11th December
  • Saturday 18th December

The stalls for the first market – on 27th November – include:

There are a very limited number of spots left for future markets – which can be booked online.

11th December:

18th December:

If all of the spaces are full, please contact to be listed on the reserve list.

The independent community market is hosted at Grange Pavilion, as part of the Love Grangetown shop local/business project, as part of the Cardiff University’s Community Gateway programme. Grangetown Youth Forum is now involved in the market, to encourage young people’s involvement in business and local enterprise.

Local volunteers to assist on the day, of all ages, are also welcome to get in touch.

Electricity supply can be requested (we have four outdoor sockets).

The market will be held inside the grounds of Grange Pavilion and will be outdoors, weather permitting.

Set-up is at 9am. The market will open at 10am and close at 2pm. If possible, please help set up and take down your own stall to help our volunteers manage the event.
